Arch Linux
Arch Linux is a rolling release: there are no versions to upgrade between, just a continuous stream of package updates. A system is supported as long as it's kept fully updated, and partial upgrades (updating some packages but not others) aren't supported by Arch. So there is no end-of-life date to watch for, but staying on top of updates matters more than on a fixed release.
How security updates work on Arch Linux
Because Arch ships new upstream versions quickly, most security fixes simply arrive as regular package updates, often within days of an upstream release. The Arch Security Team records known vulnerabilities on the Arch Linux security tracker as Arch Vulnerability Groups (AVG) with the affected and fixed versions, and announces some of them as Arch Security Advisories (ASA).
How OS Checker tracks Arch Linux
OS Checker compares each machine's installed packages against Arch's official repositories and cross-references the Arch security tracker to flag updates that fix a known vulnerability, using its severity. AUR packages aren't tracked.
