Rocky Linux
Rocky Linux is a community enterprise distribution run by the Rocky Enterprise Software Foundation, built from Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) sources to be compatible with it. It follows RHEL's ten-year lifecycle: about five years of active support with regular minor releases, then about five years of maintenance with security and critical bug fixes only.

How security updates work on Rocky Linux
Security fixes start with Red Hat, which publishes them for RHEL as Red Hat Security Advisories (RHSA). Rocky Linux rebuilds the fixed packages from source and publishes them as Rocky Linux Security Advisories (RLSA) in the Rocky Linux errata, usually shortly after Red Hat.
How OS Checker tracks Rocky Linux
OS Checker compares each machine's installed packages against the official repositories and uses Rocky Linux's own security advisories, so an update is flagged as a security update exactly when Rocky Linux says it is.
