Installation
Go to your Machines page to get an install command with a new machine ID already baked in. Run it on the machine you wish to install it on, there are no dependencies except bash and curl.
curl -fsSL https://cli.oschecker.com | sudo bash -s -- install <machine-id>
This installs oschecker to /usr/local/bin and schedules an hourly checkin automatically.
Keep the machine ID secret - it lets the machine check in with its own data, and it allows reading the status of every machine on your account.
Run it without installing
No sudo, nothing scheduled, nothing written to disk - this runs oschecker once.
curl -fsSL https://cli.oschecker.com | OSCHECKER_MACHINE_ID=<machine-id> bash -s -- checkin
Good for a quick trial or CI. The same method works for the machines and machine commands too - see the Usage page.
Update
Replaces your installed oschecker with the latest version, keeping your existing machine ID.
sudo oschecker update
Uninstall
Removes the tool, the scheduled checkin, and your machine ID.
sudo oschecker uninstall
Delete /etc/oschecker/plugins.d/ manually if you want to remove your plugin scripts.
The machine stays registered on your account. Delete it from your Machines page if you want it gone for good.
